On the occasion of the launch of the report “Risks of impacts of economic activities on populations in the Global South: case studies from Luxembourg”, the NGO ASTM (Action Solidarité Tiers Monde) is organizing a webinar on the human rights impact of the financial sector.
As Luxembourg is currently studying the possibility of legislating on mandatory human rights due diligence, the webinar will examine the state of play and the challenges regarding the human rights compliance in the financial sector, the most important economic sector in Luxembourg.
The discussion will include contributions from Ryan Brightwell, human rights campaign coordinator at Banktrack, Antoniya Argirova, policy officer at ASTM and Alexander Feldmann, project leader at Etika. The webinar will be moderated by Cedric Reichel, coordinator of Klima Budnis Luxembourg – Global South.
